Power Steering: Who Drives What In Hollywood
In Los Angeles, a car completes the look. It’s the last article of clothing that we put on before heading out, an accessory, like shoes, that is at once intensely personal and a functional necessity. Our cars are meant to telegraph our achievements, our sense of self, even our political and social beliefs — witness all the Teslas in the Netflix lot plastered with “Elon Sucks”-style bumper stickers. But they are also our Wakanda, a protective sanctuary, armoring and enriching us in our voyage between home, work, meetings and social engagements.
L.A.’s streets and highways thus become a catwalk, and nearly everyone — from the valet at Musso & Frank to the guy waiting at the bus stop bench to one’s boss — is an Anna Wintour-level critic: deeply aware of the context and category and ready to...
Demi Lovato Marries Jordan “Jutes” Lutes in California Wedding
Demi Lovato is married.
The singer-actress wed singer-songwriter Jordan “Jutes” Lutes on Sunday afternoon in California, according to Vogue.
The couple met in January 2022 while working on music for Lovato’s album Holy Fvck, with Lutes co-writing her songs “Substance,” “Happy Ending,” and “City of Angels.”
Lutes proposed in December 2023, but he previously shared that they weren’t in any rush to get married.
“We’re not trying to skip engagement to get right to wedding,” he told People last year. “We’re just basking in it and soaking it up. We’ll be married forever. We just want to enjoy every step.”
For the ceremony, Lovato wore a pearl white Vivienne Westwood dress made with heavy silk satin fabric with a corset bodice, Vogue reported. Lovato told the outlet that she’s been a fan of Westwood’s designs “for a long time.” She changed into another Westwood-designed dress for the reception.

How ‘The Studio’ Creators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg Seduced (and Skewered) Hollywood
The stress on display in The Studio isn’t always artifice. Just off camera from the chaos of cringe into which Seth Rogen’s beleaguered film executive is thrown, the creative team undertook some borderline masochistic shoots — while juggling a circus of A-list cameos.
“The most pressure I felt was that we’d convinced all of these people to come on our show,” says Rogen, the Apple TV+ comedy’s star and co-creator. “Some of them we know very, very well. Some of them we didn’t know at all. I just wanted them to be happy with this experience.”
Adding to that pressure, most of the guest stars showed up to the first season of the Hollywood satire to play themselves under heightened circumstances. Zoë Kravitz overdosed on psychedelic mushrooms. A weeping Martin Scorsese collapsed into Steve Buscemi’s arms. Ron Howard being a dick. Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos even popped up...
Here’s How ‘The Studio’ Got All Those Season One Guest Stars — and Its “White Whale”
You’re watching The Studio, and every minute pretty much seems to bring another A-lister who either makes a two-minute appearance or has a multiple-episode arc. It starts out with Bryan Cranston, who stars as Continental Studios CEO Griffin Mill – and throughout the first season, stars like Zoë Kravitz, Dave Franco, Olivia Wilde, Adam Scott, Charlize Theron, Ron Howard, Zac Efron, Steve Buscemi, Quinta Brunson, Greta Lee, Anthony Mackie, Ted Sarandos… the list goes on and on (here’s a full list of guest stars).
While the star caliber is massive, there was one clear “white whale” that co-creators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg were going for — and actually got.
“I feel like they got their white whale, which was Martin Scorsese,” casting director Melissa Kostenbauder tells THR. “I know what big fans they are, and truly everyone is of Marty, and...
